Jan Ost

Jan Ost is a co-founder and co-owner of BRAI3N and serves as the clinical director. He graduated as a nurse in 1998.

His interest in neurology and neurosurgery led him to the operating room at the University Hospital of Antwerp, where he met Prof. Dr. Dirk De Ridder, who sparked his interest in neuromodulation.

Curiosity about "how the brain shapes who we are" drives him to continually educate himself and engage in scientific research.

He is one of the driving forces in the clinical use of non-invasive neuromodulation techniques for conditions like tinnitus, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome (CVS), burn-out, and depression.

For over 15 years, he has performed nearly 2000 neuromodulation treatments annually, making him one of the most experienced neuromodulation specialists globally. He is a pioneer in the clinical application of TMS, tDCS, tES, tRNS, tACS, and neurofeedback.

His specialization lies in electrophysiological imaging: qEEG.

Jan has written two book chapters, co-authored 24 published scientific articles (17 of which are listed on PubMed), and contributed to five doctoral theses.
