Dr Georges Otte

Dr. Georges Otte is a neuropsychiatrist, former head physician at P.C. Dr. Guislain, head of the Neurolabo Guislain, and former head of psychogeriatrics. Throughout his career, he specialized in clinical neurophysiology, particularly EMG and EEG in the context of neurological, psychological, and psychiatric disorders.

For a modern and innovative approach to clinical neuropsychiatry, a broad and open-minded perspective based on current neuroscientific insights into the complex network organization and dynamics of our brains is essential.

Dr. Otte is an advocate of biological or neurological psychiatry, which means that psychological and psychiatric disorders are seen through the lens of brain network dysfunctions, which can be treated in various ways (psychology, medication, neuromodulation), while still considering the individual uniqueness of the patient.

He is a co-founder and chairman of NeuroTope, a think tank that brings together various disciplines, such as neurologists, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, neurosurgeons, neuroscientists, and neuromodulation experts, to exchange knowledge, brainstorm, and advocate for the recognition of psychophysiological research in the context of psychological and psychiatric disorders.
