Jan Ost graduated in 1998 as a nurse.
His interest in neurology and neurosurgery led him to the operating theater at the University Hospital Antwerp, where he mentored Prof. dr. Dirk De Ridder and with whom he started the 'neuromodulation microbe'.
The curiosity about 'how the brains make us are who we are' is his motivation to continue training and to cooperate with scientific research.
He is one of the driving forces of the clinical use of non-invasive neuromodulation techniques in tinnitus, fibromyalgia, CVS, burnout, etc.
For more than 10 years, he has been conducting nearly 2000 neuromodulation treatments each year, making him one of the most experienced neuromodulation specialists worldwide. He is a pioneer in the clinical application of TMS, tDCS, tES, tRNS, tACS, neurofeedback.
Jan wrote 2 book chapters, is co-author of 24 published scientific articles of which 15 PubMed-listed and has contributed to 5 doctorates.
In BRAI3N he fulfills the task as organizer and director.
